Hawk Quest

Thanks to the generous donations raised during our Jog-A-Thon, we were able to host an exciting school-wide assembly with Hawk Quest! Students had the amazing opportunity to see incredible birds of prey up close while learning about wildlife, conservation, and the important role these animals play in our ecosystem. It was an unforgettable experience for our students, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the support of our wonderful community. Thank you for helping bring learning to life! 🦅

BRE Bookworms Reading Challenge

Become a Bookworm! Feed Your Brain, One Book at a Time

Collective School-Wide Goal: 10,000 Books

Time Frame: March 2nd – April 30th

Exciting news!  Black Rock is kicking off our Bookworms Reading Challenge on March 2nd!  As students complete 20 books (50 pages counts as a book for longer books), they will get a prize from the office and be eligible to win a Top Reader t-shirt.  To showcase our progress toward our goal, we will build a Bookworm around the school.  Once the school collectively reads 10,000 books, we will have a school-wide celebration!  Our Black Rock Bookworms Reading Challenge ends on April 30th.

Project Launch Enrollment Open

Elementary Project Launch 2026 enrollment is now open at Soaring Heights Elementary! 🎉 Through Project Launch, students strengthen their reading and math skills in a fun, camp-like environment with small group instruction from St. Vrain teachers, targeted daily literacy practice, focused math exploration, and integrated science and social studies learning. Transportation from predetermined stops, as well as breakfast and lunch, are provided at no cost to families.

The program runs Monday–Thursday, June 1–25, from 8:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m. and is available for current Kindergarten through 4th grade students. Students will be accepted on a first come, first served basis, and once grade levels are full, additional students will be placed on a waitlist. Families are encouraged to register by April 17, 2026, and will receive confirmation by May 8. San the QR code below to register.

We are excited to partner with you for a strong start to the 2026–2027 school year!
